Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how StopYelling.co ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit our website, sign up for our email list, or purchase our digital products.
We collect only what we need, we tell you plainly what we do with it, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. Who We Are
StopYelling.co is operated by Dr. Maya, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Child Psychologist. For privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@stopyelling.co.
2. What We Collect and Why
Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you request our free Calm-Down Scripts Cheat Sheet or sign up for our email list. We use this to send you the resource you requested and, if you consent, ongoing parenting content and product updates.
- Purchase information — when you buy The Calm Parent Scripts Guide, our checkout is handled by Gumroad. We receive your name, email address, and purchase confirmation. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Gumroad handles all payment processing.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — when you visit our site, standard server logs record your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used for site security and basic troubleshooting.
- Advertising and analytics data — we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) on our site. This tool collects information about your visit (pages viewed, actions taken) and may link it to your Facebook or Instagram profile if you are logged in to those services. This data is used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show our content to people on Meta platforms who may find it useful. See Section 5 for how to opt out.
- Fonts — our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which causes your browser to make a request to Google's servers. Google may log your IP address as part of this. We do not control that data.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (UK and EU Visitors)
If you are in the United Kingdom or European Union, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR require us to identify a lawful basis for each use of your personal data:
- Email marketing — consent. You opt in when you submit your email address. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email.
- Purchase fulfillment — contract performance. We process your name and email to deliver your purchased product and provide purchase receipts.
- Meta Pixel analytics — legitimate interests (understanding how our content reaches people and whether our advertising is effective). You may object to this processing at any time (see Section 5).
- Server logs and security — legitimate interests (preventing fraud, maintaining site security).
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers necessary to operate this site:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Beehiiv | Email list management and newsletter delivery | beehiiv.com/privacy |
| Gumroad | Payment processing and digital product delivery | gumroad.com/privacy |
| Meta Platforms | Advertising measurement and audience targeting (Meta Pixel) | facebook.com/privacy |
| Font delivery (Google Fonts) | policies.google.com/privacy |
We may also share your information when required by law (court order, subpoena, or government request), or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Cookies and Tracking
Our site uses the following types of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Essential cookies — necessary for the site to function (session management, security). These do not require consent.
- Meta Pixel cookies — set by Meta Platforms to track site visits and ad performance. These are advertising cookies and require consent from UK and EU visitors.
To opt out of Meta's advertising tracking:
- Visit Facebook Ad Settings to manage your preferences
- Use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool
- Install the Meta Pixel Off-Facebook Activity control
- Use your browser's "Do Not Track" or privacy settings
6. Data Retention
- Email subscribers — we retain your email address until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
- Purchase records — we retain purchase confirmation records (name, email, product, date) for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law, typically 7 years.
- Server logs — typically retained for 90 days for security purposes.
7. International Data Transfers
StopYelling.co is based in the United States. If you are visiting from the United Kingdom, Canada, or elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Our service providers (Beehiiv, Gumroad, Meta) are also US-based.
For UK visitors: we rely on the UK's adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses where applicable for transfers to US processors. For questions about the safeguards in place, contact us at privacy@stopyelling.co.

In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law.
